On 4 December 2023, JMUS announced significant changes to its organisational structure, which are scheduled to be implemented from 1 January 2024. The reorganisation aims to promote local management in accordance with the Singaporean Core Policy of the SG government and transform JMUS into a sustainable and profitable company.
The Sales Department and Technical Department will be replaced by the Business Units (BU) system, which will consist of four distinct Business Units: Ship Repair BU, Marine BU, Industrial BU, and New Business BU. JMUS strives to demonstrate synergistic effects between the Sales and Technical departments, resulting in better performance and effeciency.
